Only 1/2 the episodes were shown in the US until sometime in the last 3 or 4 years! The programme got great reviews over there, but the general public didn't "get" the show (alas). Adrian Pasdar aka Jim Profit claimed to have given up acting in an interview on the "Near Dark" DVD, but as you said he still seems to turn up from time to time!

I find the eDonkey network to be the best for older/more obscure shows and would recommend eMule if you want to go down that route for "Profit". There is someone on eBay offering the series on VCD for around �30, but (reading between the lines) s/he has just downloaded them and burnt them to VCD at home!
