Thats strange,because i have been in my property for over 3 months now and the solicitors are telling me that they are waiting for a stamp duty land registry form from the inland revenue.I am sure i filled this in after i signed the contracts.Would apreciate any advise.Thanx in advance

That number is the fearsome HM Revenue and Customs in Bootle- not Land Registry.

In 2003, a simple system of Stamp Duty was abolished. Instead, Stamp Duty Land Tax was created to make our lives a misery.

SDLT has been dreadful from day 1: bureaucratic, slow. and repaetedly involving re-submission of documents. I know: I engage with the SDLT people daily!
