Nicole, Papa, 80s pop, reasonably priced french cars, etc.

Further to an earlier post, the old nicole/pap adverts had, I think I remember, a django-like lilting track which retrospectively i'm fairly certain was an interpretation of an 80s pop track, slightly synthy and sung in a low male voice, a very sweet melody but underplayed . Possibly some of the lyrics are "(he/she was always running (away/along), da da da da, daa, daa".... Am I imagining it? Is this question spiralling out of control?
