Staying in Las Vegas alone?
Anyone who has been to Las Vegas, do you think it's safe for me to stay in a hotel on my own? My friends who i'm meeting there are staying in the most expensive hotel (over 100 a night) which is a bit excessive for me.

are u female and what age group ?
you will be safe in any big hotel on the strip, the security is very good, but if you are under 21 forget it , they wont let you on any casino floor or in a club or near a bar, you will be escorted off the premises pronto. You must of young carry some photo ID or your passport.

you will be fine, its great there like Disney for grown ups, if u are staying on the Strip and doing all the touristy things they are really hot on crime and the survellance cameras monitor the Strip 24/7.The hotel security is really good too, all of them.Last year stayed at the Luxor, quite safe and when I stayed at the Excalibur, the security would not let you into the "elevator" unless you had a "key card" for a room.
Your main problem will be the time it takes you to get from your hotel to where your pals are, though it looks nearby when you actually start walking it is not.
The Strip is busy 24/7 and safe, I went to a Walgreens pharmacy from the Luxor at 3am and it took me about 15mins each way and the Strip was crowded with people enjoying themselves./ strolling home to their hotels and Walgreens full of people shopping and buying snacks [cheaper than the hotel snacks].
The reason they are so security concious is because if it goes wrong they will loose the tourists and lets face it Vegas is a tourist town they want you to enjoy yourself and spend your money.
Dont stay at the Strobe, nothing wrong with it, but too far out on a limb.
Just imagine you will have a whole huge room all to yourself and you can make as much mess as you like .
Dont worry about things that arent going to happen, be positive. You are going to have a great time and want to go back for more.If you are going shopping I can help maybe with where the locals shop and its not in the fancy showcase malls.
If I can be of any more help e-mail on
[email protected].
Go and have fun.
