You don't deeds these days, you get a copy of the Land Registry record. Solicitors seem to take between 1 and 4 weeks to get around to registering the title.

Thats strange, because i have been in my property for over 3 months now and the solicitors are telling me that they are waiting for a stamp duty land registry form from the inland revenue.I am sure i filled this in after i signed the contracts.Would apreciate any advise.Thanx in advance
I puchased in June 06 and my house is still not registered in my name - Last corresponcdance I had from the solititor was November 06 and I was told it takes time for a first registration!
There is a time limit on filing SDLT applications of 30 days otherwise you will be charged a penalty by the Inland Revenue. Make sure your solicitor has filed it!!
