UB40 Versus The House Martins
How many singles/albums have each band sold and possibly each member sold. Want to see who is the most popular baring in mind that Norman cook (fat boy Slim) was in the house martins.

Hardly surprising, given that they had their first hit in 1980 and are still going today, while Housemartins were only a chart act between 1986 and 1988.
Add in the subsequent projects by ex-Housemartins (Fatboy Slim for Norman Cook; The Beautiful South for Paul Heaton and Dave Hemingway) and things are rather closer of course - The Beautiful South's first "best of", Carry On Up The Charts, was a particularly huge seller - but I'd be surprised if they've caught UB40, given just how prolific UB40 were in the 80s and 90s.
