I have numerous JPG Files on my PC. Trouble is when I access the folders they are stored in, it says - "Could not open file because the file is locked. Use the File Manager to turn off the Read-Only option." I turn off the Read - Only option in the properties section but it stays the same and cant view the picture. I have a feeling that in the past I locked the files as an experiment. Now I cant remember what I used to do it with. Is there a way of gaining access again to these files?

Also, what is the File Manager?

Maybe you have some program running that is keeping them locked?

The File Manager was the Windows 3.1 version of Windows Explorer (and thus has been extinct for about 11 years!).

Sounds like you may be using a piece of ancient software to manage your pictures?
