I find that FLAME comes to mind more easily.

Many thanks for your views Aquagility ... I had put flame but was somewhat undecided. Think I'll stick with it. Agree it's certainly more thought provoking this week!

I can only find Aligarh University ... but seems a bit odd as it's included in the clue.

Catwoman .. what a great handle .. thank you for your kind message .. although I may not ask too many GK questions (as I always attempt to find answers on internet), I am often stuck on cryptic solutions and ask for help accordingly!
