MSC Napoli

I seem to have missed out on a couple of aspects of this story:

- What does MSC stand for?

- Where was the Napoli travelling from and to when she ran into difficulties?

MSC is the Mediterranean Shipping Company, a Swiss company based in Geneva (the container ship is owned and leased by a British company, Zodiac Maritime Agencies.) It left Antwerp in Belgium on 17th January, bound for Portugal and then on to South Africa when it was damaged in the storm.
