98 fiesta wiper fuse

blows as soon as ignition is turned i tried disconnecting all the items on this circuit (front wiper, rear wiper, washer motor, wiper stalks) but it still blows when ignition is turned

any help appreciated

I am sure you have checked, but are you putting the correct fuse in?

yes! only other possibility i can think of is a short
