Dell or ACER

I asked yesterday for some advice on computers and got some good replies following that I have decided to either buy a dell laptop (inspiron 6400) or the ACER (AS5611WLMI) Laptop from PC world.
Could anyone let me know what they think of these systems and if they are any good?
Any advice would be good.

Well, I wouldn't go for an Acer under any circumstances. I know of people who've had enormous problems with warranty issues, and machines disappearing into their service centre for months at a time, then emerging with the original fault plus extraneous scratches and other damage. The fact that there is no phone number for the service centre might give you a clue as to how much they respect their customers.

Would definitely go with Dell - very good value for money backed up by an excellent service agreement

I would go for a Dell aswell. Begrudgingly mind, but they are the better of two evils.
