Lump

My sister has a lump in her armpit, she says its very painful. I felt it+it is quite large. She is 17 so i know it would be rare for it to be serious but what do you think? Could it be a swollen gland? Are they painful? She's a bit o a hypochondriac so i dont know what to think!!

Woofgang is absolutely right - all lumps, painful or not, should be investigated immediately - so get your sister an appointment, and offer to go with her if she is worried.

Yes she definitely has to see her Dr. Just because she's 17 doesn't mean it can't be serious.These things always have to be checked out as soon as possible.
