The first time I heard it I thought it was Antony & the Johnsons, but I just heard it again and it sounds like Arthur Russell. He was a classical musican who worked with lots of disco producers in the eighties and made some amazing disco tracks, but also some lovely non-disco songs. Listen to songs such as 'A Little Lost' and 'Let's Go Swimming' from the World of Arthur Russell album!

A film about him is coming out later this year so that might explain a developing (commercial) interest in his music...
