No hot water

I have a Baxi back boiler (401), which until recently was ok until the stat on the boiler packed up. I changed this but the water isn't near warm enough, either are the radiators. I am not sure I have been supplied with the proper stat. Anyone know what temp it should cut out at and if this is indeed the probem??
