I have an audio file which was encoded with LAME at 384 kbps and I am not able to play it in I tunes. I notice the mp3's only go up to a max of 320 kbps, is 384 kbps an mp4 or how can I import it into iTunes?

mp3s can be encoded at whatever bitrate the encoding software supports. I've come across 512kbps mp3s before. My only guess is that iTunes can't support the bitrate or the file is corrupt. Can it be played in Winamp?
