ofcourse!
Yes. A Puma runs at about 40 - 50 MPH. A Grizzly bear can do about 30 MPH.
NO!! the bear will kill and eat the puma, then make shoes out of it, then he will win.
But cats run out of puff much sooner -- so it will depend upon the distance -- a bear would always catch a puma if it could keep it in sight, but a puma would also always catch a bear, sooner. Humans can outrun almost any other animal -- eventually. Horse-versus-runner races have to be set over just the right distance (I think about 30 miles) to make them fair -- too little and the horse always wins, too much and the runner always does. Women overtake men if the trip is long enough, too...
My wife's Puma will do about 120mph (indicated) whereas the Tupelov TU 142 will do about 575 mph at 25000' Acceleration wise though, I'm guessing that my wife's car will be quickest 0-60.
Not a fair test, Pottsy, surely? What does the Puma do at 25,000 feet?
