I saw the episode of Eastenders, when Joe confessed and fell through the window, in the next episode i saw, Sonia was free and Joe was branded a killer. how come the police believe everything Dot must of told them, if they look into it, Dot is Paulines best friend and Sonia's (almost) grandma, yet they believed everything she said. She could have made it all up to protect Sonia, and she never really liked Joetowards the end did she. They (police)had no proof that Joe really hit Pauline, Can someone please explain this stupid very unrealistic storyline, or tell me what i missed for this to of happened.Thanks

Just before he fell from the window, someone had dialled 999 on their mobile. It got thrown to the couch and i guess the police listened in.
