car boot
6 Answers
I have a new fiesta. i was wondering if anyone else has one and whether they can fit a pram into the boot. My partner says it will be too small to fit a pram and shopping and that we should get a bigger car. I love this one and it is paid for, i dont want to pay more money out for a bigger car.
I would ideally like a three wheel travel system

A lass who works part time in our office has a festa. She doesn't use a 3 wheel system but manages to just get a 4 wheel buggy type thing in. She just has enough room for a nappy bag and a couple of smaller things. Definitely not enough room for a weekly shop though without losing the parcel shelf and stacking on top. Not healthy if you have a little one in a seat just in front.
If you have a new shape Fiesta, have you considered making a straight swap for something perhaps slightly older but more suited to moving a wee one around?
My twin bro and his wife had a mini that was ace to drive but completely unsuitable for getting a child in (3 doors and the front airbag doesn't deactivate). They traded and got a Merc A' class. The front AB can be switched off and there is room in the back for everything then.
Other models worth considering are the Vauzhall Zafira, CItroen Picasso or Renault Megane Scenic.
Hope this helps, good luck with the little one.

you may get a 3 wheeler in the boot but a lot of them dont fold very small at all so space would be cramped.
Take your car to a local nursery equipment store or even to a large mothercare and ask them to try out a few of the systems you like in your boot for you.
It may be that you will have to go for an umbrella fold type 4 wheeler pramette rather than a pram with a carrycot as carrycots are large in themselves.
also check out the manufacturers websites as these show the folded sizes of the prams and you can do calculations before going to a store
