My mate borrowed another mates motor, went on a drive got flashed by a camera, didnt say anything, and gave the keys back. the other mate got the notice through the letterbox has since given it to the "borrower" what could happen here. It turns out the borrower is not insured although mate 1 has fully comp

The borrower should just pay the fine and accept the points. There will be no check on insurance.

If he refuses, the owner of the bike should threaten to report him to the police for taking the vehicle without perrmission. Then there would be a check on insurance!
