whats up with my hamster?

my hamster is usually running around, eating and playing on her wheel. she was origanlly in a cage with a male but was separated after about 2 weeks when i got a new cage and due to fights between the male and female. she is now very quiet and is looking a bit fat and has just flopped and resting on the top part of her cage, which she would usually sleep in her house. whats going on?

Sounds like you may be hearing the patter of tiny feet soon. As she was in with the male, she may be having babies. Either that or he was eating all the food, and now shes on her own she is piggin out!

She could be depressed because she is on her own?!?
Or, Yes she could be pregnant! the gestation period of a hamster is around 21 days. My cousins hamster had 12 babies....good luck!!

If you'd done your homework before taking on these animals you would know that you should never keep hamsters together. One hamster, one cage - not just because of the obvious breeding problem, but because they fight to the death.
