Does anyone know of a site that helps you determine who the artist of your art work is, and gives you a rough guide to the value ? please and thanks..

generally art dealers can give an accurate idea of the value of a particular painting , especially if they are an expert in the artist's work . If you have the name of the painting you could do a search in Google for it . Is there any kind of label or information on the back of the painting ?
