Ooh , 4getmenot. I'm queueing up for a copy of your cd. I like nearly all of those. I would go with your choices plus these too :
Hero - Enrique Iglesias
Still the one - Shania Twain
From this moment on - Shania Twain
More than words - Extreme
Bed Of Roses - Bon Jovi
Don't wanna miss a thing - Aerosmith
Have you ever really loved a woman - Bryan Adams
Endless love - Diana Ross and Lionel Ritchie
Jimmy Cliff - Shelter of your love (from Cocktail)
She's like the wind - Patrick Swayze
Hungry Eyes - (from Dirty Dancing)
These arms of mine - Otis Redding
She will be loved - Maroon 5
If tomorrow never comes - Ronan Keating
Be tender with me baby - Tina Turner
Forever and always - Shania Twain
Angels - Robbie Williams
Stand by me - Ben E King
When a man loves a woman - Percy Sledge
Hero - Maria Carey
When love and hate collide- Def Leppard
Have you ever needed someone so bad - Def Leppard
Turn back the hands of time - R Kelly.
Never had a dream come true - S Club
My love - Kele Le Roc
So many to choose from. It depends on what your personal taste is.

Damn. Another money making scheme bites the dust. I was going to flog copies on AB 4getmenot but i'm scared you'll poke my eyes out with a big stick so i'm going to wait until you're not looking and try to sell them on the fly ....... err , I mean , not copy your list at all , honestly. I love Def Leppard. They remind me of my teens , being a rock chick/goth/grungey type. (cringe) I still love a lot of bands like Guns ' n ' Roses , Aerosmith , Poison , Bon Jovi etc. Oh and that's a good choice Dusty Bin. I love Don Henley and the Eagles too.
I hope that your girlfriend likes her CD story_teller , whatever you choose. Much better to make up your own compilation than a shop bought one , that way you don't have to skip the tracks you don't like , everyone will be a good one for you.

To be honest 4getmenot , I haven't heard of the Goo Goo Dolls but I will look them up and maybe download some songs. Which one/ones would you recommend ?
I love those Aerosmith songs and have them in my music list on the comp. Cryin is on my mp3 player and it's funny that you should mention that particular song because last saturday , I was shopping in Sainsbury's with my music turned up really loud. As I stood wondering what yoghurts to buy , I got lost in the song and had my eyes closed , nodding and humming it to myself. When I opened my eyes , I was getting pretty mad stares from two guys who were now filling up in that section. I was so embarrassed , I just simply said "It's Aerosmith , cryin" The guy about 30 nodded and smiled and the young guy about 16 just stared at me blankly. It was either a generational thing or they both thought that I was mad and the older guy was humouring me whilst the younger one couldn't hide his true feelings. Not sure which. Hmm.

Obviously all down to personal taste, but I would like something different to all the sorts that would appear on the average Valentine's CD available from all good supermarkets....such as......(decent music...sorry - joke!)
Paul Weller - You Do Something To Me
Stevie Wonder - You Are The Sunshine Of My Life
Athlete - Beautiful
Ben Harper - By My Side
Bill Withers - Lovely Day
Bloc Party - This Modern Love
Snow Patrol - Chasing Cars
.....more to follow....
