employment law

I was unfairly dissmised from work around 4 years ago(took them to an employment tribunal, and won), now i have noticed that the company is looking to recruit again for the same positions, although it may not be a wise choice for me to apply for one of these positions, but is there any law, be it company or employment that forbids me from applying, or that they could refuse my application on the grounds of my previous employment.

They cant refuse you a job but no doubt they will think of other ways of not offering you a job which could lead to another claim.
There might have been a change of management since your time with them though, and you might be in luck

Thanks for that cennet, i had thought about sending an application form off just to test the water so to speak, i'm currently doing the same job but have a 80 mile round trip to work where as it used to be 10. When i won my case for unfair dismissal i did ask for my job back but was told that " there was a breach of confidence between employer and employee" in other words they did not want me back lol, so was settled out of court. I was just curious if there was any time span where they could just bin the application due to my dismissal or if they would have to find another excuse, cheers for the info.
