Iain ('M') Banks gets called Banksey by his fans a fair bit.

Banksy is a graffitti artist who uses stencils to create 'art' on walls of buildings, pavements etc. He's work is excellent and he was also resonsible for the artwork on Blur's most recent album - Think Tank. However, he is an elusive soul and no-one knows (well, a few people do i suppose) who he is or what he looks like. As far as i know he has never done an interview as he is technically a bit of a criminal for defacing public property and he could get done for it. I think he comes from Bath/Bristol, but not sure......check out www.banksy.co.uk

he comes from bristol.
if you google 'banksy caught' then you see a picture that is apparently him. I have my suspisions that it is him however.
He says his name is Ian Banks but i feel this is not true, probably just enjoyed desperado street as much as i did!
