Is it possible to work in the environmental area with a humanities degree?

i'm in my second year of a BA English Literature degree and have realised that i really want to work in the environmental field. Sadly, i'm not able to switch to a more suitable subject due to money restraints and so i was wondering whether it is possible to do any conversion courses, or whether i could work my way into the enviromental area through admin or PR type roles?

I cannot see why not - i know that our local council have been known to employ ART graduates in management positions due to their 'creative' minds - often, the fact that someone has studied hard for a degree shows commitment, intelligence, ability to meet targets/deadlines and lots of other attributes (that i can't be bothered to think of right now!! sorry -) and its not particularly the subject area in which they studied that counts - sounds daft, i know, but then at least you're not restricted to the subject you have studied. Everyone has transferable skills, you just need to recognise them and use interviews to your own advantage and put this across. good luck.
