can anyone help, i bought a long wheel based fronterier, you start the engine and within minutes it coughs and spluts and will not pull away. you turn off the engine and let it cool, i was told it was the catalytic convertor which i have replaced but still have the same problem, does anyone know if its the lamda sensor and is it hard to replace thanks tearing my hair out.

Cat would not cause coughs.

It is no use replacing parts at random, could cost a fourtune, if you don't know about cars get it to a garage, cheaper in the long run.
it is the fuel pump relay located rear of n/s front head light black in colour . its not the lamba or the cat
