Ray Krebs was the 'black sheep' of the Ewing clan, and the TV company thought a spin-off showing his lefe away from the Ewing millions would make a good series, so 'Knots Landing' was created, and was successful.

Wasn't Ray the ranch hand in "Dallas"? I can't find any reference to him turning up in "Knot's Landing", which was initially centered on Gary Ewing.

Yes I have to agree with you LeMarchand. I loved Knots Landing & don't ever remember Ray or his wife (Donna) being in it. The story centred around Gary & Valene (remember those awful hair ribbons?) Ewing.

What with the antics of Greg and Paige in Knots Landing I shouldn't think there was any room for Ray - I can't remember him, but these shows (including Falcon Crest) do tend to merge together after a while. I loved all of them!
