How can I tune my video player into my tv. I have a coaxial going into video and out into tv, also a dvd using scart into tv. Tv progs are on Channel one on tv, dvd is on channel 2 and all is fine, but I cannot even get the blue screen on channel 3 or elsewhere for the damned video. I now cannot even get i (info) to tune the clock. Before this on channel 3 the video was wavy so I have tried to tune it using a scart but no good. All the time I have the tv(sky) coaxial in the video it won't work. I don't want to have to keep unplugging the aeriel for the video to work. This is a new LG video and when I was using an old JVC it all worked fine. Does anyone understand, and can they help?

I may not be able to help you fix the problem, but, my sisters sky stops functioning properly once the video is plugged in, i was told that the video frequency was possibly too close to the sky digi box frequency. It could be possible you are having a similar problem. Before they had sky the video and tv and dvd all worked fine together. It is definitely connected correctly but as soon as the video is switched on you can hear the sky channel but there is no picture. Allegedly you can retune video frequencies but i'm afraid i can't tell you how, that seemed a bit too technical for me . I'm sorry i can't really solve your problem and i hope you don't consider this reply a waste of time. Good luck with it as i know it can be so infuriating.

Thanks squirtle - love that name! yes it's way too technical for me. I had this prob before with the bedroom and paid some chap 50 to tune it, can't afford that again!!
Its wrong really to sell this equipment knowing there is the possibility of it not being compatible with other items and not informing you of how to change it. Well so i think anyhow. Hope you get it sorted. Enjoy the rest of your day.
