Trivial Pursuits

At Christmas my family gathered together to eat turkey and play our annual traditional game of Trivial Pursuit and charades. Can anyone recommend some other good board games - is Cranium any good? Thanks

Cranium is an excellent boardgame that I think you'll like if you like Trivial Pursuit and charades! It's great fun but challenging too - there are four main 'topics' of questions roughly categorised as:
Pictionary (both on paper and using play doh - for a 3D twist!)
Trivia - Multiple choice fact question - covers all topics and relatively hard/challenging
Language/Words - Meaning and spelling
Charades/Impressions - Conveying phrases or public figures.
Highly recommended. Let me know if you get hold of it, and what you think! (Although by the sounds of your post that might be Christmas 2007!)

Articulate is the best board game invented if you ask me, it has just reappeared in shops as it totally sold out over Xmas, it does every year.

All three that have been suggested so far are excellent games, as is the little-known Who's In the Bag, especially fun after a drink or two.
