What were sweat houses used by Indians for bathing and religious worship called?

i believe they are called a 'sweat lodge'.

As said above, 'sweat lodge' is the general English phrase to describe these places. However, in the Ojibwa language, for example, it is 'matootoo' and in Cree it is 'madoodooson'...also their word for 'womb'...which makes sense. These words are rather alike, so maybe other Native American languages have words that also sound much the same.

There's some similarity, Q, with the Tsi-Tsi-Tas or Northern Cheyenne, with whom I enjoyed a close relationship, who call the woven willow, hide covered structure �maome... and the one(s) using the lodge are ��manane or, literally, "putting on a sweat". The root word is pronounced somewaht like the beginning of your examples.
