Is it true that US presidents are always buried at sunset? If this is so can anyone tell me why?

No, they're not. Reagan was buried in the morning.

President Reagan certainly was buried at sunset in California, after all the palaver of the state funeral elsewhere. I do not believe there is a 'tradition' to that effect regarding other past Presidents.
