try spraying some hairspray onto it and rubbing it gently with a dry towel

There is a product that I have literally just used on a sticker my daughter stuck on the window sill. It's called sticky stuff remover and I got it from Wilkinsons for 3.99. It really does work wonders and has served me well!

Chazza, I haven't got any hairspray, but next time I'm at the shops I'll pick up a bottle and try. Jellybean22, there is no Wilkinsons where I live, but I'll keep my eyes peeled for a similar product.

heat the area with a hair dryer, it should then rub off.
Another thing you could try is spray furnisher polish,this works wonders on those awful labels some manufacturers put on their produsts.

Hi, me again! Just thought I'd say that the spray I mentioned before isn't only sold in Wilkinsons I would imagine they'd sell it in most places.
