Hello mrscake!!
As you have now finished the quiz perhaps you would be kind enough to help me with .....
83. Courtly shepherdess on the Circle - but no line (5)
I would be eternally grateful !!!
Question Author
My daughter, who has a degree in English Literature, gave me Circe as the answer to that one, which seems obvious from circle without a line, but she didn't explain the courtly shepherdess reference. Would you like me to ask her?
Circe was my initial idea but on investigating her she turned out to be a sorceress not a shepherdess. Hey ho !!!
Thanks mrscake.
