avg free free edition

I'm trying to download the 7.5 free edition of avg but when it comes to installing it comes up error. Should uninstall my 7.1 first then download HELP

Probably you should. It would be helpful if you stated exactly what the error message says.

The usual procedure is to download AVG 7.5 then run the update in repair mode.This then updates 7.1 to 7.5.

Problems do occur if you run install rather than repair.

If repair option does not work then perphaps follow rojash's recommendation

surely 7.1,should upgrade to 7.5 automatically,it did on my pc.

Mine didnt automatically upgrade but when i dl'ed the newer version it installed over 7.1 with no problems.

If the installation doesn't work, trying uninstalling 7.1 first.

If it still doesn't work, the download must be corrupt. Re-download the set-up file.
