i have just booked an all inclusive holiday to the artimes hotel I was reccomended this over the telephone good price kids will love it I have since gone on the internet and found terrible reports I rang airtours up and they said not to take to much notice of it and that they would not use the hotel if these reports were correct if i was to change my booking it would cost �120 anyone know anything about the artimes hotel cyprus

There is a Artemis hotel in Protaras, is that the one ?
(It is slightly diferent spelling to yours)

I have to say that if that IS your hotel most of the reviews of the hotel are awful.

You say you were recomended this over the phone, who by, the Airtours reps ?

If so, then it is always good to do your own research first.

Having looked through the reviews on the web site above in more detail I have to say they are vary varied.

The more recent ones are bad, but some from 2005 and 2004 seem quite good.

Maybe it has changed hands recently.

Hi, elliefe, not sure what review site you looked at, I tried
www.realholidayreports.com (sorry, still haven't learnt how to link yet), Their reviews are mixed although most are poor. Ask the travel agent for their real travel guide, its called something like that. They all have one but you have to ask for it, its supposed to give honest information about hotels and resorts, surely then if that is so negative you will have some redress! I wish you well, I know how much my holidays mean to me!

I would change hotels , I know that �120 is a lot from your holiday budget but is it worth 2 weeks of solid misery if things are not right and you get the same buffet dinner for 2 weeks.
First I would try and talk to Airtours manager , insist its the manager and take their name in case they are fobbing you off and then see if they are willing to change you over because you have been mis-informed and the second thing is can you change hotels if you dont like it when you get there?, if so check out the alternatives now before you go.Have you checked out the one they are offering for the extra money ?

I don't know about anybody else, but I will only bother posting information about a holiday if I've had a terrible experience. If the trip has been a success, it's not really worth talking about. Even though the bad reviews far outweigh the good, I really doubt that the hotel is as bad as you have been led to believe. I really wouldn't worry about it.

The only bad part of your holiday will be flying on a very cramped charter aircraft. Once you get off of that plane, you'll have a whale of a time!

Hopefully, next time you will do your research before paying for the holiday!
