my cat cant keep food down why??

every time my cat eats his food after a few seconds it comes back up...liquids to. he did cough up a fur ball the other day. this is day 3 and although day 1 and 2 he couldnt eat he was fine in himself but now hes looking tired. do you think it is another fur ball? if yes how do you get it out yourself? or do you think its something different?? does anyone know any online vet help sites that are free. i will take him the vet tom if no better but would like to avoid the expence and my cat gets so stressed going. cheers for any advice or help given. xx

Definitely take him to the vets asap. He will become dehydrated if he isn't even getting some liquids into him.

I agree in this instance, after 3 days of vomitting, a trip to the vet is called for.
Cats can vomit regularly, fur balls being a common cause. Our old ginger tom would gobble his food and regurgitate it on a regular basis. The vet said it was such a common thing that if I could find a cure he and I would become very rich men. When a human throws up we feel like it's the end of the world, but to a cat it's nothing.
As lankeela says he will become dehydrated after a while, so please take him to the vet and let us know the result.
