Ok, so this isn't strictly a Health question but seeing as it is aimed at people who go to the gym / work out etc... here goes.

I am in the process of compiling some tunes to listen to on the old IPod at the Gym or when I'm out on my bike / running and currently have these.

Right here, right now - Fat boy slim
All fired up - Pat Benetar
Bones - The Killers
Open your Eyes and All that I have - Snow Patrol

Am just curious as to what you fine people have on yours or what tunes really get you going when you're exercising.

Hi sarnieken

I have loads of old disco tracks on mine! Also Jamiroquai, Prodigy and a few newies like I Found a Place Where we Can Boogie, Fade, dance type stuff.

Hasn't it been proven that if you have upbeat stuff on your IPod you perform better in the gym. I think I read the most popular was the Rocky theme tune, however, when they play that at my gym I just think its cheesy (hency the IPod).

:o)

I think I read that too.
I know I tend to drive faster if the right tune is on.

Rocky tune at the gym? Please no! hehe.
A few more I've just added to my compilation......

Wages Day - Deacon Blue
Don't stop me now - Queen
Everytime you touch me - Moby
1979 - Smashing pumpkins. (The drum beat on this is amazing and the guitar opening is easily one of the best ever)
Flashdance - Deepdish
Whenever, wherever - Shakira
Holding out for a hero - Bonnie Tyler (this is a great one to run to!)
No tomorrow - Orson
Here it goes again - Ok Go
i think mary j and u2-- one. that song always pushes me to do five minutes more!! x

If you like that tune x3ecx then you will love 'Miss Sarajevo' with U2 on it. Track 2 is an amazing live rendition of 'One' with some excellent violin pieces in it.
