Stain removal from leather

A friend kindly put her aubergine leather bag down on my cream leather footstool while it was wet and it has dyed my footstool really badly. Does anyone please have any ideas what to suggest to get it out? I haven't tried anything as I don't want to damage the material.

try some baby wipes they bring my cream leather 3 piece suite up nice every time.they dont contain any detergents or bleaching agents.hope this helps.
