system restore HELP!

i remeber doing some thing to my system restore ages ago and i think i turned it off it somehow is not turned on and not working does anyone know any possiblies of turning it back on i really need it PLZ HELP! , also it says that my system restore is turned on ! which dosent even make sense!!!!!!

From the Start menu, choose Control Panel, then choose System. You should see a System Restore tab, click on that...you can control System Restore from there.

To verify that System Restore is running, try this: Choose the Start menu, choose the Run menu item, enter CMD into the Open edit box. Then, in the black screen, type in NET START then press enter. Look for System Restore Service.

Otherwise, you may well have a virus or some spy-ware - I would recommend that you search for SpyBot, run it, then update your virus definitions and run a full scan.

clean the system restore once... and restore a new one next ... it will continue normally then onwards.
