Resigned and moving!

I have just resigned from my very dull job and will be moving to Bristol in May! Very exciting. Any tips on making friends when moving to a new area? My sisters live there, but I will want to make some friends myself too! Has anyone else moved area and how have they found making new friends?

How exciting :) I've moved quite a few times to a new area and have never had a problem making new friends.

Just get chatting to different people at work and make the most of social events and you could do some classes in something that interest you, at the gym or evening classes.

When I moved to Leeds one of the best friends I made was a girl who lived on the same estate as me and we just got chatting waiting for the bus in the morning and it went from there.

Snap yolande, I leave work in two weeks to start a new life. I intend to get a job basically in order to meet people as I don't know anyone where I am going, well apart from mrwarpig1. But your are right, very exciting.
