leaking washing machine

My top loader washing machine keeps on filling until it overfills. I reset the water level button but that doesn't work. I Water comes out of the bottom. If I manually turn it to spin, it works but some water still comes out of the bottom. Any suggestions?

What type of machice is it, are any of the pipes blocked or have they go any damage showing? it sounds like a seal could be going some wear around the pump. If the water level is checked by a magic eye this could be damaged or broken so it is not recording the water level.

It's a Maytag per.forma. No pipes are damaged. I'm thinking it's a faulty water level switch.
