sort the search facility

I would like to see the search facility sorted. I have just searched for a question by its correct titile and come up with more than 1,700 options, most of which were completely unrelated

I agree. It would also help if you could search by main title, body of message, and/or member.

Excellent idea Woofgang. It's totally useless as a search facility. DOB's ideas or also very good.

I hadn't really experienced the AB search facility until a few days ago. I discovered that if you search for a phrase, such as 'Vanilla Sky', it finds anything containing Vanilla and anything containing Sky. Consequently I found lots of questions about Sky and a few about Vanilla. There were some that contained both, but as there were 454 possible questions to sort through I gave up. Adding quotes around the phrase made no difference.
I've even posted a question in How it Works asking how to search Answerbank for a whole phrase, and so far no one has answered.

If there is a way to do this then my apologies AB, if not, I'm right behind you woofgang.
