Possibly too much exposure to detergents?
Try using a barrier cream and rubber gloves whenever using any detergent or chemical.
Also use a moisturising cream like Vaseline Intensive Care. If it doesn't clear up, it could be the start of dermatitus, so see you G.P. to be on the safe side.
Try Diprobase . You can get over the counter from the chemist.
I used to get itchy chapped hands especially in the cold weather. Another ABer recommended it to me and it is really good.
