Assuming you mean sea turtles - I believe that their primary food source is jellyfish.
My neighbour's pet turtle eats prawns.
Potential translation error here (two peoples separated by a common language...): I say tortoise, you say turtle, I say terrapin, you still say turtle, I say turtle, you say turtle again... (Not sure if that fits the tune, but you get the idea). Americans generally refer to all chelonians as turtles, but in British English the three main kinds are usually separated. Tortoises live on land, are relatively slow-moving, and are mostly vegetarian, eating leaves and fruits. Pet ones do quite like the odd bit of cat-food, but I don't know if wild ones eat much meat. Terrapins live in or near fresh water, and are mostly carnivorous. They eat fish, worms, insects and anything else they can catch, no doubt including prawns. Some (like the snappers and other soft-shelled turtles) go for rather bigger prey, such as passing fingers and toes. "Terrapin" is particularly used for species which can walk quite well on land as well as swim, while those which are more aquatic (with flippers rather than feet) tend to get called turtles anyway. What I (being an English speaker) would call "proper" turtles live in the sea and are fully aquatic except when laying eggs. I think most kinds do eat mainly jellyfish, and also floating plastic bags which look the same.
