She is a nasty piece of work and to be honest it has happened so many times before I don't want to give in again!
I know all the 'life is too short' arguments but I really don't want to see the old witch again ~ hard as it's my mother in law :o(

When my nan died it was the first time some members of the family had been in the same vicinity for a long time and there are many issues and people not speaking to each other and that kind of thing which made things quite difficult at her bedside when she died and the funeral and wake.
My nan would have loved to have seen everyone in the same room together and people did try to a certain extent but there were some very uncomfortable moments. Had it at my cousin's baby's christening as well, not many of the family were there considering but there were some awkward moments there too and I'm sure there will be in the future.
I get on ok with everyone, keep out of the fallouts and find it really sad that things are as they are but that's families for you!

My weird situation just at the mo is about mixed and confused emotions. My wife is 39 weeks pregnant and I am excited to the eye balls, but my mum was rushed into A&E last week and has been in hospital since. I thought she wouldnt last the weekend and have been an emotional wreck, whilst my wife is sitting at home in an emotional pre-labour mess.
