i need to know how to change my brake pads i wana do it myself, its a corsa 02, help?

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.Jack the car up and put it on axle stands - remove the wheel - remocve the anti ratle springs - remove the rubber dust covers at the rear of the caliper giving access to the bolts that need to be removed - using a 7mm allen key remove the bolts and this will allow the pads to be removed.
Before putting the new pads in put a tiny amount of copper grease on the pad backing to minimise any brake sqeual - you will also need to force the brake piston back into the caliper - to do this first remove the brake fluid reservoir cover and then using a "G" cramp or large screwdriver force the pistons back in - making sure you dont overflow the reservoir in the process when the pistons go back in.
Reassemble with new pads and re-secure all parts removed.
Then once you have the wheels back on pump the brake pedal until there is resistance other wise your first application of the brakes may be your last
