no one can cure the common cold just ease the symptoms like red says, just relax with some lem sip and planty of tissues, and dont forget the hot water bottle.

It just has to take it's course. I have had mine for over 2 weeks and I still have a fuzzy head. Hope yours doesn't last too long.

LOL, if i was stuck at home all day with nowt to do I would be ok about it, but I have the area manager coming tomorrow and we are interviewing for the new stor and so I am really annoyed i have this darn cold, i look washed out and pale and my head is banging

hi crete, my eyes are watering and i am surrounded by discarded tissues and glasses of ribena lol i think i have doubled the daily take at the chemists too lol

seriously. i had one heck of a cold/flu just before xmas. it was closed to 6 weeks before i felt right. it settled on my chest and i felt badder than bad...

Poor dot, sorry to hear you are poorly, and hope you soon feel better.
As others have already said, the Lemsips help. Yes, why not have a tot of brandy in hot milk at bedtime, it might help you get to sleep.

That Lemsip stuff is proper vile tasting! Day Nurse does the job every time for me Dot. It stops the banging head, reduces a high temperature and contains a decongestant. Best of all it doesn't make you drowsy or make you feel worse like many other remedies. (Don't take anything else containing paracetamol at the same time though.)

hi john, no i don't think so, i just have a problem keeping one eye open cos it is running so much and i can't breath very well and my head hurts above my eyes, oh and my nose keeps running and really tingling inside it is so annoying! Gotta work tomorrow and so i am going to try and get some sleep. ta x
