Hello,

Was wondering if anyone could tell me how to import avi files into Adobe Premiere 6.5? Or rather, why my avi's wont go into Premiere? Every time i try to import avi i get a message saying 'Unable to open that file. File uses an unsupported compression format'. I'm assuming i need either a plugin to allow my avi's to work, and if this is the case could anyone tell me which one? Or, i am incorrectly encoding the avi's i make. If this is the case, could anyone please give me some instructions on how to encode these avi's properly? Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks.

I may be completely wrong here, but I always thought an AVI was a video file. If it is a video file, why would you want to import it into Adobe?
