im going on holiday in june. and want to lose a dress size, and tone up , my main areas are my stomach and thighs now i was thinking of getting an excercise bike as i already have a stepper! do u think this will help a lot or do i need to be doing a more intense workout!? tia samxx
Hiya Sam.
Do you use the stepper you have got?
These things usually become clothes horses. You'd be better off having a swim everyday (the sort that makes you tired). Or dithcing th car and wlking more. Or good old fashioned sit ups will tone your tummy. Good luck!
Exercising at home rarely works. Why not make a date for a regular weekly swim, join a gym or attend some fitness / pilates type classes to mix exercise with social and eventually.pleasure.
I do a lot of walking, even in my lunch hour I get up and go for a 20 minute walk at least and walking does tone you up. When walking hold in your stomach for as long as you can.
When standing on the platform or bus stop, clench your buttocks together, don't worry no one can see what you're doing. Again a nicely toned butt!
Hey Sam!
I've just lost half a stone in 2 weeks with weight watchers!
& i've been doing the dvd by janice from Corrie a few times, which is really good!
I'd definately recommend weight watchers though! & it's only 5 a week!
i was thinking about just takiing my dog for a walk every night when i come home from work at least 20 mins then do a few sit ups when i get back in (and the dog will be pleased cos hes getting excercise as well!!
good idea Sam, but if you get bored with that, try the dvd i mentioned. I think her names Vicky Entwistle? You know, Janice from Corrie? It's really good!!! Plus it has a bit on it called belly shrinker that is really good & only about 10 mins so you can do that everyday!
I've got so many exercise dvds, but this one is one of the best.
go for it Sam. Walk and sit ups far better than wasting money on an exercise bike and you wont get a sore ahem either (or maybe it's just me that seesm to be anatomically incorrect for an exercise bike but I find them really uncomfy!)
