Does anybody know of another name for an aircraft autopilot please.

In the vernacular, an autopilot is often called "Charlie" by seasoned pilots... as in "... let Charlie fly it", when engaging the auto flight system...

Thankyou Pea Pod and Clanad Charlie is the name I wanted.
I've always thought it was called George
During WW2 the autopilot in a Lancaster was called 'George'.

Thankyou ugly bob and Hugh Spencer ,GEORGE actually fits better because I think the word I need is six letters.
Charlie was the tail gunner ie Tail end Charlie in ww2 bombers
